In 2007, our hope is that each state will host a fundraiser of some sort to raise funds to find a cure and raise awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis. The fundraising group can rely on our office for information, brochures, help with media, etc... We have a fundraising booklet that is available online or in print which can be mailed. Fundraising doesn't have to be hard or time consuming. It can even be fun!! Email me and we can discuss your hobbies or interests and we can build a fundraiser around that.
Call 312.377.6895 for more information.

Tonya Olsen is the hostess of this event.

My dad, Lonnie Califar passed away from Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Lonnie was a huge car fan and his car club is helping with this event.
The Cluster Busters car club is facilitating the car show.
The car show will be Monday, July 4, 2005 in Brownsburg, Indiana at Westend Speed Shop.

ANDERSON, Ind. -- Lana Hall was once afraid that her health insurance would disappear when she needed it the most. It didn't, and now she has undergone a life-saving double lung transplant. Hall, who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2002, received a scare in 2003 when her former employer sent her a letter saying that it was dropping her health coverage. Lana called Call 6 for Help in May 2003. Insurance was paying for an oxygen machine and medication, and she wondered what she would do without it. Call 6 contacted the ex-employer, which said the letter was sent by mistake. The coverage continued, and Hall received the transplant last September.

This "celebration of life" is being held in celebration of my 6 month post double lung transplant. In, 2001 I found out I had a life threatening disease, called IPF. (or Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). My only chance of survival was a transplant. 2 1/2 years later I received my miracle! I am also celebrating a couple of birthdays, and honoring those who have fought this brave fight, and honoring my donor. This event is also a fund raiser for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, so donations will be accepted.

When I was just 14 months old, I started skating with my parents at the local skating rink. (with no training skates, the real deal!) I continued to skate up until I started college! I pretty much grew up at the skating rink. After I got sick, I had went and couldn't make it around the rink more than twice! I made a promise to myself, if I got my transplant that as soon as I was able to, I was going to go back and skate circles and circles around the rink! So HERE I GO!!! Come on out and join the fun!

Lana Hall, 24yrs old, had a  Double Lung Transplant because of  IPF, on September 7, 2004 at Methodist Hospital - Indianapolis
