A group of 20 patient and physician groups submitted comments today regarding the proposed rule on Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and its application to supplemental oxygen. Below is a statement from the seven organizations leading the coalition:

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) announced that it has achieved its enrollment goal for the initial phase of the PFF Patient Registry with participation of 2,002 patients. The Registry, launched in 2016, is a collection of comprehensive anonymized data from patients living with pulmonary fibrosis (PF), a group of fatal lung diseases which cause progressive scarring in the lungs.

Questions like which oxygen delivery system to use, how to manage various flow settings, or how to ensure safety sometimes cause confusion and stress with the oxygen process.
